Milk VR supported for all the 180º Videos!
Hi everyone! We have adapted our 180º videos for Samsung Gear VR to support Milk VR! Follow these steps:
Milk VR
From a PC/Mac computer:
- Install Milk VR in your Note 4
- Connect the Galaxy Note 4 to your computer with the USB cable
- If there is a ZIP file:
- Download the zip file into the computer
- Extract the content of this ZIP file
- Copy all the extracted files within your phone in the folder: Phone\Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo\files
- If your system asks you about converting the files, select “No”
- If there are a Video and config files:
- Download both files into the computer
- Copy them files within your phone in the folder: Phone\Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo\files
- If your system asks you about converting the files, select “No”
- Now, the video is ready for watching with the “Milk VR” app.
From the Galaxy Note 4:
- Install Milk VR in your Note 4
- If there is a ZIP file:
- Download the zip file with the “Internet” app
- When the download is finished, tap on the download in the notification center
- The app asks you for a folder, tap on “Extract”
- A new folder is created, named with the name of the video
- Tap on the new folder to enter it
- Tap on the upper right icon (three dots) and tap on “Select”
- Select all the files (one readme, one video and one json file)
- Tap on the upper right icon (three dots) and tap on “Move”
- Select LocalStorage\Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo\files
- Tap on the upper right button “Move here”
- Now, the video is ready for watching with the “Milk VR” app, inside the “Downloaded” section
- If there are a Video and config files:
- Download both files with the “Internet” app
- When the download is finished, go to “My files” app
- Tap on “Storage”
- Tap on “Download”
- Tap on the upper right icon (three dots) and tap on “Select”
- Select all the downloaded files (one readme, one video and one json file)
- Tap on the upper right icon (three dots) and tap on “Move”
- Select LocalStorage\Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo\files
- Now, the video is ready for watching with the “Milk VR” app, inside the “Downloaded” section

Is there anyway You can store the videos on the SD Card and not on the phone, As each video is about 3 gb it doesn’t take long to fill up the phones memory and it’s a bit annoying when you have a 128gb sd Card?, If not could you bring back the PVR files?
Hello Stu, you can watch our videos in the Oculus 360 Video app by putting the video files in the “Oculus\360Videos” folder of the SD card, the PVR files aren’t necessary. Enjoy!
